Decision-support guide
AI-Assisted Crypto Portfolio Optimizer
CrypTools is a portfolio and strategy tracker and optimizer. It helps users compare portfolio paths, understand the available market context and review a proposed reallocation. It is not investment advice, and it never replaces the user's own research or control of transactions.
What the CrypTools optimizer does
The starting point is a portfolio that the user has already constructed after doing their own research. CrypTools reads its current distribution and available risk observations, then compares that portfolio with the available market state. Missing or stale observations remain limitations; they are not treated as positive signals.
The result is an analytical proposal. CrypTools helps make concentration, constraints, estimated costs and possible allocation changes visible, but it does not decide which assets the user should own and does not submit transactions automatically.
Four-step workflow
From portfolio analysis to a user-controlled proposal
- CrypTools analyzes the user's portfolio and compares it with the available market state.
- The AI derives one of the three strategies and an appropriate intensity level. The user can keep or change that selection.
- CrypTools calculates and displays a proposed portfolio reallocation.
- The user remains in control and decides whether to accept, modify, reject or cancel the proposal.
This workflow is decision support. A proposed or accepted allocation is not proof that a trade has been executed, and CrypTools does not perform the transactions automatically.
Portfolio and Strategies Tracking
The portfolio graph is designed to follow and compare the real portfolio, the Buy & Hold reference, user-created virtual portfolios and nine Ghost portfolios. Each virtual portfolio starts as a copy of the real portfolio at a chosen point in time and can use one of the three strategies with one of the three intensities.
The nine Ghost portfolios represent all combinations of the three strategies and three intensities. They start from a copy of the source portfolio and evolve in parallel according to their own policy. A final optimization of a real or virtual portfolio re-optimizes the Ghosts associated with that source in the same session.
Strategies and intensity levels
CrypTools keeps the same labels throughout the interface:
Diversified (standard)
A readable diversified allocation baseline that remains subject to portfolio limits, eligible assets and the selected intensity.
Balanced risk
A transparent inverse-volatility approximation that reduces the relative allocation score of more volatile eligible assets.
Minimum volatility
A stronger inverse-volatility weighting used to examine a more defensive allocation, without promising lower future volatility.
The available intensity levels are Conservative, Balanced and Aggressive. They set both the aggregate risky-asset target—up to 50%, 75% or 100%—and how far the proposal moves toward it—15%, 30% or 50%. Market and user protections may reduce the effective target.
Weekly review and optimization
CrypTools is designed for an approximately weekly review. In Adaptive Portfolio Intelligence, the user first runs the pre-analysis, reviews the suggested strategy and intensity, and either starts the optimization as proposed or customizes the settings. Past optimizations remain available for review.
Manual optimization is allowed at most every six days, or earlier when the portfolio's weighted price move reaches 5%. For clearer comparisons, real and virtual portfolios should be reviewed and optimized on the same day whenever possible.
The user keeps control
Every real or virtual portfolio has its own optimization and decision history. The proposed actions can be accepted, modified or rejected. Virtual decisions change only simulated quantities. A real proposal still requires the user to choose and confirm any separate transaction process.
CrypTools is not an investment-advice service and does not execute portfolio reallocations automatically.
Crypto portfolio optimizer FAQ
What does the CrypTools crypto portfolio optimizer do?
CrypTools analyzes the selected portfolio, compares it with the available market context, suggests one of three strategies and an intensity, then calculates a proposed reallocation for the user to review.
Does CrypTools execute the proposed transactions automatically?
No. The proposal is decision support. The user can accept, modify, reject or cancel it, and remains responsible for every transaction.
Which strategies and intensities are available?
CrypTools uses Diversified (standard), Balanced risk and Minimum volatility, each with Conservative, Balanced or Aggressive intensity.
What can be compared in portfolio tracking?
The tracking view compares the real portfolio, Buy & Hold, user-created virtual portfolios and nine Ghost portfolios representing the three strategies at the three intensity levels.
